Outstanding!! I am not a beginner, I’ve been playing drums off and on since 1985. I have taken lessons at 2 different Music Barracks locations and couldn’t be happier with my decision to respond to an advertisement for a free trial lesson which is how I got my start. The structure and quality of my lessons have been phenomenal. I am amazed at my teacher’s expertise, as he quickly and accurately assessed my skill level and has provided me with the “just right” challenge to keep me motivated and practicing on my own at home. My lessons have been progressing nicely as I master one set of skills and continue to build on what I previously learned, week after week. Teacher Robert is a master educator and knows how to break down and explain what I need to know step by step. Drum patterns and beats that seem incredibly difficult at first, are simplified by the skilled verbal instruction and demonstration provided and I am surprised at how quickly I am able to play them well. I couldn’t do this without the help of the Music Barracks!! They have earned my respect and highest recommendation!! The pricing packages are a terrific value and I plan to continue for the long term!!

My son Luisito has been taking drum lessons at this school for several years already. He started when he was 7 years old, and with the guidance and patience of his teachers, he is now a very advanced drummer. A big factor for his great progress is the calibre of the teachers, particularly his present one Coach Budjie. Coach Budjie has been so patient and so engaging with Luisito, their easy rapport has built strong trust and facilitates easier learning. Even during the pandemic when all the lessons were online, Coach has been so patient and great at teaching. What a far cry from the music lessons of my youth, where fear of the music teacher was the overriding motivation. Thank you Music Army for not just teaching scales and notes and music, your teachers are also imparting life lessons and nurturing precocious young minds and hearts. Highly recommending this school!

My 2 kids have enrolled in Music Army over their school break, for the past 3-4 years now. My son, now 11, was enrolled in guitar. My daughter, now 7, was enrolled in piano. It was a great experience to see them both expanding their interests in music. Especially for my daughter, who was only 4 when she started, and over the pandemic at that (which means all online lessons only). I was so proud to see her master reading of notes and playing simple songs all on her own. Learning music definitely helped my kids practice discipline and maximize their full learning potential. Thanks to Music Army, and their army of talented and patient teachers!

Good music school, they listen to the needs of their students and suitably adjust the lessons from there. As a parent, I also find that they are easy to talk to. Plus, convenient location for both BGC and Acacia branches.
